49 Swans features a brand new collaboration between the compositions of Al Okada and the voice and lyrical contributions of Rebecca Campbell (Jane Siberry/Fat Man Waving/Porkbelly Futures). The album largely features the approach of composing while recording, in an effort to capture as much focussed spontaneous energy as possible. Once again Al Okada plays virtually all instruments with the exception of additional percussive elements provided by Cino Evil. A conscious attempt was made to incorporate musical “drone elements” into the arrangements and to utilize real analogue instruments and source samples pre-dating the 1980s.

49 Swans will be available digitally on March 30, 2010 on all regular digital online sites including iTunes on the Static Clang label.

Microbunny vs. The Straggler – Magnatech EP (2009)
This special 4-song EP is a collaboration between Al Okada and former King Cobb Steelie bandmate Kevin Lynn (ex-Holy Fuck). Each took 2 tracks from the other and remixed (or more accurately) reinterpreted them, utilizing almost opposite approaches and then meeting somewhere in the middle. The results are radically different versions of all 4 tracks. It is available digitally on the Static Clang label on all digital download sites including iTunes

Microbunny “Dead Stars” (2004) expands the recording technique to incorporate the live performance element that had previously not existed in the collaboration between the musical compositions of Al Okada and the voice and lyrics of Tamara Williamson. The album was recorded over a 3 year period and utilizes numerous recording facilities and locations to capture the most interesting versions of the pieces. It concludes with the 23-1/2 minute experimental title track. Additional musical contributors include King Kong Girio, Cino Evil, Liz Forsberg, Sarah McElcheran, Becke Gainforth, Locksley Taylor, Graham Bond and Aaron Riches.

The self-titled 1st Microbunny CD (2001) was a collaboration between Al Okada and Tamara Williamson who provided vocals and lyrics to approximately 30 different compositions, the best of which are presented here. At the time there were no plans to ever perform live as all the instruments were played by Al Okada. A number of these tracks were featured in television shows such as “The Shield” and “Mutant X”. It is exclusively available here via mail order only for $10 (postage paid).
